There are plenty of tourist destinations in the UAE that are well known and popular - we don't have to tell you about them. Instead, we're going to tell you about some not-so-popular hidden gems that are surprisingly fun and very enriching to visit. So read on and prepare to be amazed!
The first hidden gem on our list is Wadi Bih. This is a beautiful and secluded valley located in the Hajar Mountains. It is a great place to hike, camp, and enjoy the stunning scenery. There are also some amazing rock formations that are worth exploring.
Our next beautiful location is Al Bidya Mosque. This mosque is located on a small island off the coast of Fujairah. The island is only accessible by boat, so it feels like your own private paradise. Once you reach the island, you can explore the mosque and take in the incredible views. Al Bidya Mosque is the oldest mosque in the country being used to date.
Next on our list is Hatta Heritage Village. This village is located in the mountains east of Dubai and is a great place to learn about the traditional Emirati culture. You can also go on camel rides, visit the Hatta Fort, and see some of the oldest buildings in the UAE.
If you're looking for a place to cool off right after, then head to Hatta Dam. Being a short drive from Hatta Heritage Village, it is a great spot for swimming and there are also plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby if you need to refuel after a swim.
Qasr al Hosn is another must-see while in the UAE. This 18th century fort was once the home of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and has since been turned into a museum. The fort offers a glimpse into traditional Emirati life and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Be sure to catch a traditional dance performance while you're there!
The next destination we recommend is the Liwa Oasis. Liwa Oasis is one of the largest oases in the world and has been a vital stop on the caravan routes for centuries. The oasis is home to more than 100,000 date palms and is a sight to behold. Visitors can explore the oasis by foot, camel, and even Jeep. There are also several resorts located within the oasis if you're looking to stay spend the night.
